Technical Specialist II

Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the internal and cloud infrastructure for Covenant Health. From installation to ensuring system security and troubleshooting, this role participates in maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure for a robust and strong performing system.
This position will manage the deployment, maintenance, analysis, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems as well as hardware and computer peripherals. This includes reviewing, analyzing, and configuring end user workstations, being familiar with new and installed applications to provide a high level of customer service, and assisting in the implementation/rollout and support of assigned applications from both the application-user and technical perspectives. The incumbent will demonstrate a high level of creativity and problem-solving skills, and the ability to partner with other department colleagues to support IT initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Performs hardware installation and relocation services for St Joseph Hospital and affiliated remote locations
- Assists with configurations, installations and upgrades and other maintenance of the equipment and software on local devices as deemed appropriate
- Provides technical assistance and advice on standard equipment usage by providing one-on-one training as needed
- Participates in routine work requests, including ITS initiatives or minor projects
- Provides coverage for teammates and intermediate level functions as requested
- Participates and engages in team meetings, and team building activities
- Observes & practices established computer security and access policies, including department policies and procedures, i.e., inventory management, etc.
- Engages in education and cross-training on department areas of expertise, includes preparing, leading, and attending training as required
- Presents suggestions to management for process improvements and problem-solving
- Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry
Requirements
- Two Year college or technical degree preferred
- Two years of relevant experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
- Highly Proficient with Microsoft Window 7 & 10. Knowledge of network mapping of drives/printers, Citrix VDI, Published Apps, O365, and anti-virus.
- Presents a professional and customer service demeanor
- Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner with all levels of employees
- Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot, identify the root cause for errors, and determine an appropriate solution
