Job description
The Technical Service Technician will primarily be responsible for answering the phones for Tech Service, calibrating methadone systems and managing Clinics’ needs, completing documentation for shipments, issuing RMA’s for returns, managing rental and loaner systems and their associated databases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming calls for Technical Service, and direct to a technician when needed.
- Issue RMA #’s to customers.
- Maintain and file all documentation in customer files.
- Prepare all shipping forms and documentation for equipment returned to customer(s).
- Maintain and update RMA documentation
- Prepare quotes for repairs.
- Call customers for payment of repairs when needed.
- Clean, assemble and calibrate Methadone systems.
- Generate and update customer complaint database.
- Learn basic fludic troubleshooting techniques on incoming systems.
- Assemble motor/bases, actuators and pumps.
- Assist in small repairs and cleaning on actuators.
- Assist in circuit board repairs, including board replacement and re-wiring.
- Small pump repairs to motor/bases other than the Methadone modules.
- Test and troubleshoot various motorbases, actuators and pumps.
- Serve as backup to Sales Administrative Assistant when needed.
- Worldwide travel when needed.
- All other duties or tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or higher
- Experience in lieu of degree
- Customer telephone support experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have computer skills (Macola, Microsoft Excel & Word experience a plus)
- Good organizational skills (knowledge of 5S a plus)
- Ability to multitask on demand
- Must be able to effectively and respectfully communicate
