Context :

We are seeking an experienced customer-facing Technical Project Manager (Team Lead) responsible for managing key projects and customer engagements, as well as leading our current Project Managers. The right candidate for this role is a highly organized agile practitioner, with experience in software development projects. The ideal candidate can coach and support a team and knows how to apply and adapt processes to a company’s size, challenges, and strategic objectives.

In this role you will :

Lead and mentor Project Management team members (currently 2)

• One on Ones, performance support (mentoring and teaching), Annual Performance Reviews, Project assignment

Represent the PM team for Presale activities

• Support quote creation process regarding planning, scope and walkthrough, and PM interests

Support the project lifecycle from initialization to delivery completion (75% of your time)

• Clarify, understand and capture the details of the customer expectations and goals, and drive each project team toward these goals with help from our technical leads
• Setup project budget, estimated burn rate, update and report budget consumption for reporting and invoicing purposes
• Drive and steer each project team to accomplish the goals of the project from backlog to kick-off and daily standups, while maintaining the project backlog
• Monitor project progress continuously and provide detailed reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
• Communicate proactively with all involved to provide encouragement, identify problems, provide solutions, and efficiency improvement
• Own and drive customer relationship for the project by clarifying, understanding, and capturing the details of the customer expectations and goals, and drive an engineering team toward these goals with help from our technical leads
• Ensure alignment with the overall quality process (definition of done, acceptance criteria, validation of deliveries)
• Work with our engineering team leads and local management to oversee and ensure success of projects for our US office and be able to suggest and drive internal process improvements
• Interact with teams in France, UK and Germany for inter-office projects and initiatives

Your Background :

• Experience collaborating and embracing team interaction, and leading by example
• Must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer focused skills
• Fluency with project tracking software, and experienced with Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira)
• Ability to identify, prioritize, and successfully execute competing priorities
• Desired: Knowledge of software development, and management of software projects. Experience with embedded software (Linux, microcontroller, connectivity) is a plus
• Desired: Prior experience leading a small team of Project Managers: ensuring projects are up to date and accurate. A promoter of best practices, coaching, and mentoring
• Formal project management training and/or PMI Certification highly preferred
• Experience with Product Ownership (deep product understanding and requirements) is a plus
• Applied experience with Agile methodologies, such as KANBAN and Scrum
