Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a talented and energetic Technical Project Manager to support our client in Woodlawn, MD/Remote. You will be responsible for supporting program and project leads in the conceptualization and implementation of large and complex technical solutions. These include various shared services, architecture, and platforms for multiple lines of business and development contractors, including cloud services, security services, data exchange functions, DevOps tools, and others. The candidate will be a key member of an interdisciplinary team working with business stakeholders and enterprise software development teams to plan and implement enterprise level solutions.
What You'll Do
- Provides Agile team management, planning, customer support and process management for multiple active and ongoing programs/projects.
- Communicates and explains complex systems architecture, design and implementation strategies to the customer.
- Proficiency with internet-related technologies, to include practical experience/knowledge of website architecture, web applications and how they interact with databases, and the latest trends in web applications.
- Applies business and technical expertise to recognize program pain points and to identify informed solutions.
- Supports the development and maintenance of applications, assisting with planning efforts and working to remove obstacles so that project teams can accomplish benchmark tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supports process development, documentation and communication across the Product team related to key decisions and new/updated processes
- Leads and facilitates meetings and knowledge sharing activities
- Works collaboratively to foster and build team relationships among our client, Program Task Leaders, development contractors and other third party entities/contractors to plan software products which support Program objectives.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present to clients and stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Uses knowledge of program goals and strategies, and technical/security system needs, to assist in the prioritization of release scope.
- Reports to the client on project status and communicates any delays or changes in the project plan.
- Assist the team to ensure there are end user communications for program impacts due to delays in product delivery or any planned/unplanned system outages.
- Actively identifies manages, communicates and mitigates project risks and issues.
- Contribute to programmatic information radiators such as monthly reports and strategic product roadmaps
- Participate in Agile/Scaled Agile ceremonies as necessary.
- Support the Playbook efforts.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree from an accredited institution
- Have 8+ years of experience working as a Project/Technical Lead with experience leading large and complex cross-functional projects
- Have experience influencing senior management and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives
- Familiarity with DevOps integration/continuous deployment frameworks and best practices
- Ability to combine project management principles with Agile development requirements
- Experience using-project management toolsets such as JIRA and Confluence, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Demonstrated ability managing complex, multi-task projects and multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to manage project risks and issues
- Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead and participate in on-line meetings and to work effectively with a dispersed project team.
Nice to Haves
- Active or in-process PMP certification is a plus
- Experience working with government entities or contracts is a plus.
- DevOps, SAFe, RTE, CSM or ITIL certifications are a plus
- Experience with CMS TLC (Target Life Cycle) processes is a plus.
- Experience with QualityNet IT tools and services (such as AWS Cloud, DevOps tools (such as New Relic, Ansible Tower), HARP, FileCloud, MFT, Centralized Data Repository, and others) is a plus.
