Summary of position/daily activities:
AEM’s Education Services division seeks to hire a Technical Project Coordinator to provide high-quality project management and event facilitation to support data system modernization efforts and activities for state education agencies and other organizations.
As a Technical Project Coordinator, you will develop and oversee the execution of and management of project plans in collaboration with the project director and team members based on available resources and prioritization of client needs. You will work with state education agencies and other clients in support of project goals. The day-to-day work looks different based on project needs, but here are some sample activities in which you may engage:

As a Technical Project Coordinator, you will develop and oversee the execution of and management of project plans in collaboration with the project director and team members based on available resources and prioritization of client needs. You will work with state education agencies and other clients in support of project goals. The day-to-day work looks different based on project needs, but here are some sample activities in which you may engage:
- Support facilitation of communities of practice and professional learning opportunities for state education agencies and other clients.
- Coordinate and track progress of work, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes and quality control management efforts.
- Develop products or plan events to build knowledge and capacity around salient topics such as but not limited to data system modernization, postsecondary data, data governance, and data standards.
- Support the objectives of key division staff including Program Officers, Project Manager, Project Lead, and other team members.
- Build and cultivate relationships with internal teams and clients.
Education Requirement:
- A Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 6-8 years or Ph.D. with 3-5 years) in Education, Public Policy, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience who hold other degrees will be considered.
