Summary of job contents
Assemble, repair and test pneumatic related products for customer applications and stock orders to specified requirements. Works at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties.
Key Accountabilities
- Reads and interprets pneumatic/electrical drawings to position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.
- Operates drill presses, lathes, milling machines and grinders to assist in assembly operation.
- Performs testing of products during the assembly and final stage of production.
- Evaluation and analysis of non conforming material returns.
- Inspection and repair of customer returns.
- Performs quality control by inspecting non conforming material.
- Uses various hand tools and measuring equipment such as: drills, taps, files, calipers and micrometers to complete special application orders.
- May inspect and test exhibition/display products and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working order. If deviations exist, makes repairs or replaces parts as required.
- May fabricate and package exhibition/display products and equipment
- Receives, verifies, and separates work orders for components.
- Attaches work orders to materials.
- Moves materials from storage, receiving, and packaging areas to designated work areas.
- Packages and/or labels finished product.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand.
- Removes product upon request for inspection.
- Organizes and maintains a clean storage, receiving area.
- Completes any necessary changes to the BOM.
- Cycle count for Kanban accuracy
- Verify parts in order system (SAP)
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required

- Basic Control Wiring and Production assembly experience

Knowledge/skills/experience
- Basic computer skills
- 1-2 years experience in Basic control wiring and production assembly and machine shop environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HS Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or Vocational/Trade School
- Experience in a machine shop environment
- Experience with reading and interpreting blue prints
- Experience with using hand tools
