We are looking to fill a position within our Inspection team. An ideal inspector is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. Flexibility and willingness to learn and improve is imperative. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures be carried on smoothly and precisely to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities

• Examine poles visually for knots, holes, splits and other defects
• Measure poles using tape measures to ensure specified thickness, length and width
• Classify and sort poles according to industry standards
• Tag poles to indicate grade, wood type, and other characteristics
• Tally poles
• Accurately complete and maintain reports

Skills

• Experience with chainsaw preferred
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and strength
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Willingness to learn
• Shift: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Shift: 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• 100% Exposure to the elements
• Standing/walking/bending
• Overtime

Wages

• Paid every 2 weeks
• Starting wage $16.00/hr - $19.00/hr(depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
