A growing food manufacturer based in Grand Rapids, MI, is adding a Team Leader in its kitchen area to oversee and supervise kitchen operations and assist operators with recipes, equipment operations, and other related tasks.

Team Leader – Food Manufacturing Responsibilities

· Manage Kitchen Operators over designated shift and provide support over all aspects of Kitchen operations

· Act as an expert resource for the operation of Kitchen equipment

· Must be able to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot all kitchen equipment in accordance with company standard operating procedure (SOP)

· Ensure proper equipment and food safety protocols are being followed

· Must be able to operate a forklift.

o Company will provide forklift training and issue certification test.

· Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and as honestly as possible

· Must adhere to all corporate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all Food & Corporate Safety policies including “clean as you go” program

· Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable

· Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals

· If monitoring critical control points (CCPs), must be trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s)

· Oversees Kitchen Operators assigned to designated shift

Team Leader – Food Manufacturing Qualifications

· HS diploma or GED

· 2+ years of food manufacturing experience

· 1+ years of team leader or supervisory experience in manufacturing

· Ability to read, write, and speak in English required; English/Spanish bilingual preferred

· Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds

· Ability to pass a company-issues forklift certification test

· Ability to shift priorities quickly without losing attention to detail

· A customer-focused (internal and external) mindset, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams

· Ability to work independently without direct supervision

Schedule

2nd shift, 2pm – 10pm Monday – Friday (standard hours); OT available
