Job Description: Kumon of Weston / The Learning Place is looking for a few dedicated Teaching Assistants who enjoy and are passionate about helping children and committed to improving their lives through education. We offer the world's most successful supplementary educaiton system (the Kumon Method), a culture of dynamic teamwork and an uplifting, fun, and satisfying environment.

A Teaching Assistant in The Learning Place / Kumon of Weston will be responsible for interacting with children and parents, organizing learning experiences, and monitoring / guiding students who are learning in the Center. Different from tutoring, the Kumon Method encourages the students to learn on their own, rather than becoming their learning ""crutch". You only need to appreciate the importance of helping children learn, have a passion for serving customers; a touch for teamwork; and a feel for kids and people in general. We will teach you the rest!!

Responsibilities:

Monitor / guide students' work as needed.

Interface with students and parents who come to the Learning Center.

Correct work and update weekly lesson plans using Kumon's materials & systems.

New customers / prospects: oversee new student testing and do orientations on the Kumon Learning Method for new students.

Spanish or other language skills are a plus!!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4x10
• Day shift
• No nights
• No weekends

• Weston, FL 33326: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Associate (Preferred)
