For nearly 25 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a full-time school year position for the greater Framingham, Massachusetts area. The certified teacher will work between 8-10 of our teaching locations, most of them being a behavioral health environment. Most locations have 8-10 students at a time receiving educational services with a maximum class of 15 students in certain locations. This teacher will be supporting students from grades K-12 with their four core subjects.

Essential functions of the job:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 8-10 students, with a maximum amount of 15; in a small group setting
  • Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. Qualifications

  • B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
  • MA State Teaching Certification (or the ability to convert within 6 months of accepting the position) or the ability to obtain an MA Emergency Teaching Cert.
  • Comfortable working within a pediatric and adolescent population
  • Flexibility with daily location, including same day call outs
  • Ability to travel, most sites are within a 30-45 minute drive with a few outliers that are 1-1.5 hours away

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
