The Talent Acquisition Manager oversees the County’s centralized talent acquisition services and leads a team of passionate Talent Acquisition professionals to innovate, design, develop and deploy transformative talent acquisition practices and drive strategic outcomes for County operations. The Manager will strategize and implement new approaches to marketing, sourcing, and candidate relations. The Manager will be responsible for staffing policies and practices, IT systems, federal and local government compliance, requisition through on-boarding operations, reporting, and vendor management.
The Manager and their team also participate in strategic initiatives sponsored by other units and departments such as Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Onboarding, and systems design and implementation related to talent acquisition.
For positions with a remote work option, all Wake County Government remote workers must reside in one of the following states or districts: North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Maine.

Through strategic partnership with County leadership, the Human Resources Department provides collaborative, innovative human resource programs and services that are customer-driven and results-oriented. This is a new position, expanding the capacity of the Talent Acquisition Team. Wake County Human Resources has consistently low turnover, confirming that we are a great place to work!
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
At least five years of experience directly related to the role, including at least two years of supervisory experience
A combination of education, training and experience may be accepted in lieu of the stated basics
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Strong marketing and sales skills
Six or more years of current, progressive experience managing recruiting
Extensive experience with applicant tracking systems (both user and administrator)

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:15 pm; 95-98% remote work schedule
Hiring Range: $70,294 - $98,414
