Overview:
Spathe is currently searching for a
Systems Security Administrator to join our team.
Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Responsibilities:
Systems Security Administrators must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems and security procedures, as well as a familiarity with systems hardware and software. They require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:
- Management of a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidents
- Participating in security systems testing
- Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data
- Preventing and detecting intrusion
- System administration and hardening of Linux Systems.
- Reading and writing shell, Perl, Python Scripts
- Security tool usage and maintenance: Nessus, Core Impact, ACAS, Splunk
- Yara, Open IOC, or other host based signatures
- Management of an email Security Appliance
Clearance Required:
- TS/SCI
Certification Requirements:
- IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8140, RHCSA or RHCSE
Experience Requirements:
- Eight years of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate’s field of study and specialization.

- Up to 10% travel during the year.
