SUMMARY: The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for phone, remote, and onsite support for our clients including servers, desktops, laptops, network components and software.

Employment Type: Employee’s primary responsibility will be 2-3 client sites but may be called to assist at other sites as needed.

Reports to: CEO, Service Manager

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage Windows Servers
• Support for Microsoft Server products, including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, RDS
• VMWare and VCenter experience and/or certifications
• Configuration and support of server functions including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and more
• Service and support of network components: Internet connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and security
• Strong working knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting for Fortinet, Cisco and Cisco/Meraki network devices
• Configuration and support of Datto backup services and devices
• Experience using Remote Monitoring tools
• Support for desktop operating systems, including Windows 7, 8, 10
• Hardware installation and troubleshooting
• Ability to communicate effectively

• Communicate to clients: keeping them informed
• Remain current on IT trends and new technologies

Education, Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sysadmin role
• Strong customer service and communicating effectively
• Able to manage incidents involving different technologies and vendors from inception to resolution
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle required

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Minimum High School Degree/GED
• Technical certifications preferred: Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft Active Directory; Network Certification preferred (Network+ or Cisco certification)
