Broad Function:
Responsible for implementation, operations, and management of complex enterprise systems, integrating a variety of platforms, operating systems, and applications at Aquarion.
Principal Responsibilities & Activities:
- Operate complex and diverse technology systems running on Microsoft Operating Systems. Participate and recommend design alternatives.
- Design and operate corporate-wide Citrix environment
- Manage corporate backup policies including the design, daily backup monitoring and reporting, retention policies, and additions as new systems are introduced
- Support projects by providing backup/snaps as required
- Support Infrastructure Engineers by performing maintenance duties across VMWare Virtualization, Storage Environments, Data Center Operations and Microsoft Office Operating Systems
- Manage infrastructure projects including but not limited to Citrix, Microsoft OS and Backup/Recovery
- Monitor performance of servers, backups and Citrix
- Develop and maintain systems documentation, including diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, and work instructions
- Assist in the development, testing and support of the Disaster Recovery Plan
- Provide high level technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and
- Perform after hours support duties, on rotation, to sustain 220 plus node wide area network networking systems and service levels
Know How and Skills:
- Windows Server (2016/2019), Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, VMWare, Citrix (XenApp and Netscaler), Storage Area Networks and Backup technologies
- Networking including network architecture and Cisco routing
- Project management – manage scope, approach, budget, schedule, resources
- Vendor management –manage product life cycle, pricing, maint contracts
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
- Manage complex problem assessments and establish critical repair priorities
- Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Work well under pressure and quickly identify solutions to outages
Position Requirements:
- 3-5 years with practical experience in Citrix and Backup Technologies
- Certifications a plus: Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, ITIL, etc.
- College degree in computer science or related field
After 3 months of successful employment, this role will be eligible for a hybrid schedule (3 days office/ 2 days remote).
Job is classified as an exempt position with an annual salary range of $74,000 - $92,500.
