Overview:Responsible for the overall infrastructure, administration, maintenance and performance of one or more key systems. This may include, but not be limited to, infrastructure that includes servers running VMWare, storage areas networks, and load balancers that support systems that include Point of Sales, Microsoft AD, Gaming Systems and Property Management Systems, Telecommunications, and other related software and hardware, personal computers, and systems, which play a key role in the operating environment of the casino.
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Available to work in a 24 hour, 7 day a week environment.
  • Able to provide on-call support 24 hours, 7 day a week.
  • Assist the IT Director/Manager with identifying systems and programming requirements, setting priorities, and scheduling for systems maintenance, systems development, and programming projects, and ensure their efficient, cost-effective, and timely completion.
  • Provide on-the-job work direction to other support staff and function as an IT staff trainer when necessary.
  • Interface with Mirage team members regarding computer program requests or problems.
  • Assist in planning and development of staffing, training, and equitable treatment of all IT personnel and ensure the computer/equipment areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Evaluate end user needs and provide solutions and recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of the state of the art in computer technology and systems.
  • Promote positive end user relations, high employee morale, and performs tasks or other duties at the direction of department Management as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

Minimum of a four-year computer degree from a college or university; or four to five years related casino experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred. Must have 3+ years’ experience with HP/Cisco/ Dell servers running VMWare systems and switches.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Nevada Gaming.

  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must be flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays with the understanding days off can fluctuate.
  • Proficient in MS Office Computer applications.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be able to address stressful situation with guests with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE OF:*

AS/400, InfoGenesis, IGT, Oracle Opera, Windows, and Telecom administration knowledge a plus.

  • Microsoft MCSE, A+, and Network+ certifications a plus.
  • Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work any shift and provide on-call 24X7 support.
