Responsible for maintaining operations of information systems, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. Owns projects, solutions, and key responsibilities in support of the initiatives of the organization. Nurture a dependable IT infrastructure and network that is always up and running while partnering with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements. Ensures that systems are secured from unauthorized internal or external access. Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, this position has no supervisory role.

- Installs, configures, and maintains network services such as directory services, LAN/WAN connectivity, wireless, e-mail, file services, backup and network printing as needed.
- Maintains and upgrades network and application software as needed.
- Researches and assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
- Establishes and maintains network users, user environments, directories, and security.
- Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software applications.
- Assists in the development and communication of standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data to Information Systems staff.
- Communicates with other departments to report and resolve hardware, software, and operations problems.
- Acts as Information Systems resource for the health center.
- Diagnoses and resolves network, software, hardware, and other related problems, including problems associated with end-user networks, workstations/desktops, local printers, PC hardware, email and internet connectivity, and local area network access issues.
- Configures user access rights to network resources and software systems.
- Serves as the Health Information Department Liaison working on lab interfaces, system issues and upgrades.
- Assists Chief Information Officer with development of information system plans, recommendation for selection of hardware and software applications, and maintenance of system, researching and evaluating new technologies.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
1. Backup Network Administrator
- Provides backup and support of Network Administrator which may include administration and training of Contract Center Express (CCX), Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) Phone and Voicemail System, Fax Servers, Network Devices, Wireless Networks, E911, Paging System & Network Security as needed.
- Backup Endpoint Administrator
- Provides backup and support of Endpoint Administrator which may include managing the physical and virtual workstations in the environment, maintaining workstation confiscations, and providing technical support as needed.
- Backup IS Support Specialists
- Provide backup and support assisting staff over the phone and/or in person with using systems, including network, phone, electronic messaging, and specialty equipment as needed.
- Provide onsite technical support of IS infrastructure including but not limited to installation and maintenance of equipment.
Required Training & Experience:
- Possesses the ability to secure transportation to allow for reliable and timely work attendance, including when business is required to be conducted at sites other than your primary worksite on an immediate and as need basis.
- Prepares more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs, and other elements.
- Creates and manages databases, including creating standardized reports as needed.
- Ability to use, modify, and troubleshoot all functions of all systems within the health center related to the job including network, phone, electronic messaging, specialty equipment, and Electronic Health Records effectively.
