System Engineer with Windows and Linux
Temp to Hire - Potentially Direct Hire
Location: N County Inland near Rancho Bernardo
Order #: 215919
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with Commercial Internet Products and Web Application Hosting.
- Plan and guide the technical installation, maintenance and operation of computer Operating systems, software and system hardware for multiple applications
- Coordinate installation of hardware, software updates, changes and enhancements
- Working with business application and systems integrations
- Involved with Disaster recovery projects
Requirements Include:
- Experience with commercial internet products, web application hosting
- Windows and Linux Experience
- Experience in taking a project or commercial application end to end, starting with provisioning and building a server to deploying the applications on the server. NOT just maintaining the systems.
- Experience in automation and scripting. Unix/Linux and Windows scripting. Split of 75% Windows/25% Linux
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux - Preferred
- Experience with clustering.
- Experience with virtualization utilizing Hyper-V, and VMWare.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a Systems Administration or Systems Engineer role
- Experience in Microsoft IIS and Apache web servers in a commercial hosting environment
- Advanced knowledge of networks, servers, cyber security and telecommunication systems.
Compensation: $50-$60 Hr. DOE
