SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR, Junior LevelLocation: NAS Patuxent River, MD
Clearance: Active Secret
The contract will involve the development and integration of aircraft systems, mission systems, and support systems including Software and mission system and laboratory hardware. The scope will include software program generation and software and hardware integration, along with the development of test devices and systems which support system test and integration such as weapon system simulators and trainers. Such test devices and systems may include non-intrusive hardware/interface monitoring devices and the software/systems that analyze the data extracted/generated.
This effort shall include training the test community, the training community, providing initial fleet orientation, as well as providing training materials to these communities.

The functional responsibilities and qualifications for this position include:
- Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
- Provide technical assistance to computer users.
- Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically.
- Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate
- Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
- At least one (1) year of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position.
- Operating System certificate (i.e. Windows or Linux) and COMPTIA Security+ or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required.
Education/Experience Substitution Criteria: If a Bachelor's Degree is required, 6 years' additional work experience meeting the required experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, except for personnel that are engineers. Also, an Associate's Degree plus 4 years' additional work experience meeting required experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, except for personnel that are engineers.
