Our start-up tech company client is looking for a System Administrator who will manage, troubleshoot and proactively update hardware and software assets to prevent downtime or zero-day exploits from occurring. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and a strong technical understanding of information systems to ensure that the technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

This position is based in Dallas, TX; under a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Manages the organization's cloud-based infrastructure, Active Directory Domain Service, and source control hosting software (Git, Perforce)
• Maintains and/or deploys related applications/systems and services including endpoint protection services
• Maintains equipment inventory and monitors software licenses
• Assists in the administration of build software and agents
• Stays current with the latest IT trends, technologies, equipment and practices

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as System Administrator
• Strong familiarity with OPNsense/pfSense firewalls, VPN server configurations
• Must be familiar with the following languages: Bash, Go, C#
• Experience with Git LFS and AWS
• Has a security-conscious mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
• Willing to be on call for emergencies with live products
• Hands-on experience with continuous build, release, and deployment systems
