Buck & Rider is looking for a Sushi Chef for our upcoming North Scottsdale Buck & Rider. We know what you’re thinking, fresh sushi & Arizona don’t go hand in hand but that’s where you’re wrong!
Buck &Rider is a busy Seafood & Steak Eatery with the freshest Oyster & Sushi Bar in the valley. Our seafood and raw bar is flown in daily! Our seafood-centric restaurant focuses on a fun vibe, youthful attitude, and clean recipe lineup of food and drinks. Our high volume location is doing well over 12 million dollars annually and we are about to open 2 new locations.
This position will oversee all things sushi for our existing location as well as our brand new locations. You will get to create and evolve the sushi & crudo menu as much as you’d like. You will also get to roll it out to other chefs as well.
Sushi Chefs are required to have precise technique, skill and experience, our Sushi game is serious!
Sushi Chef applicant must be professional and polished, have experience, and very work clean.

Day in the Life:
- Ensure sushi rice is to perfection
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- Responsible for preparing sushi items for our guests in accordance with portioning, recipe and service guidelines
- Keeps work areas and food storage areas, clean and safe at all times.
- Primarily works in front of guests while preparing foods at the sushi bar
- Monitors and ensures the portioning of foods prepared at the sushi bar and maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar and equipment
- Work quickly to keep up with the pace of the restaurant and team
- Reading and following department of health standards and food industry standards
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Perform all other duties as required, including prep work or additional tasks as needed
