JOB SUMMARY: This person will be primarily responsible for the care and cleaning of endoscopy scopes and instruments. Surgery Support Assistant will assist with room turnover and transportation of patients between departments in surgery and throughout the hospital.

Surgical Support Assistant will be primarily responsible for the care and cleaning of endoscopy scopes and instruments.
The Surgery Support Assistant will assist with room turnover and transportation of patients between departments in surgery and throughout the hospital.
The Surgery Support Assistant will display Patients Frist Behavioral Guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Surgery Support Assistant must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Standing: Daily, frequent, intermittent. Climbing: Infrequent Bending: Daily, intermittent. Must be able to bend down to ground level for picking up equipment, and/or supplies. Pushing: frequently. Will be required to push patients in wheelchairs, carts and occasionally patient beds. Lifting: Daily, intermittent. Must be able to lift items from ground level and up, and lift to above own head. Manual Dexterity: Must be able to perform procedures such as bathing, oral hygiene, etc. Take and record vital signs as needed by RN and report results to RN Perform EKG's.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate Nursing assistant experience helpful Mandatory Annual Continuing Education: Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Confidentiality-HIPAA, Infection Control, Corporate Compliance. Annual Unit Specific Competencies, and all education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
