Arc Herkimer is looking for energetic and motivated staff to work with individuals with disabilities and help them achieve their goals!!! We currently have a Supports Manager- Residential (SM-R) position available. The SM-R ensures that quality care and support is given to residents and ensures efficient operation of shifts.
Duties include:
- role modeling and training for staff and residents
- directly supervise staff, giving guidance and counseling
- offer individuals a safe and loving home atmosphere within the community
- follow program procedures, treatment plans, ISPs and ensure proper documentation
- develop and maintain positive, open communication with individuals’ family members, and project a caring, professional image which fosters confidence in staffs' ability to provide care
- direct care duties as necessary, including assisting individuals with toileting, medication needs, illness issues, fire evacuations, or other emergent situations
Position requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years related experience or Associate’s and year experience with persons with developmental disabilities required.
Supervision experience preferred.
Must have Agency approvable driver’s license.
Must have working vehicle and willing to drive personal vehicle.
- Must be able to work afternoon/evening and some weekend shifts
