Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Job Scope:
The Supply Chain Analyst uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. They are responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support Supply Chain and Operations effectiveness. The Supply Chain Analyst also assists Supply Chain management with the identification and implementation of best practices and processes for inventory management and performance measurement across Victaulic’s regions and facilities. They help develop new and creative tools for improved analysis or data presentation, with the goal of improving decision-making and supply chain performance. They interact regionally and globally with peers, counterparts, and external business partners with analysis and process improvements. Global performance is supported through collaboration and participation on projects with Operations and Supply Chain personnel around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new tools and improve existing metrics to evaluate supply chain performance. Automate wherever possible for efficiency and consistency. Manage lifecycle of reports by discontinuing those which become irrelevant or obsolete because of changing business situations or new, improved metrics.
- Engage with the new product development and introduction process to develop, execute, and monitor inventory plans supporting those initiatives.
- Provide analytical support for projects, business opportunities, and proposals. Evaluate and ensure accuracy of all input data, and the validity of the analyses completed, and conclusions drawn. Summarize data and organize recommendations in a clear, professional format.
- Compile periodic performance reports, metrics, and presentations, and distribute them to stakeholders. Ensure data accuracy, and manage timely and appropriate distribution. Consult with the recipients of these documents regularly to continually improve and enhance their utility.
- Participate in and lead process improvements. Identify and investigate issues and opportunities. Find root causes develop solutions, implement, and follow-up. These process improvements and metric development projects are both local and global in scope.
- Develop tools to aid in maintaining data integrity. Implement and audit for effectiveness.
- Train users on all new reports, tools, data, and analysis.
- Research, create, develop, and implement new techniques of data mining, analysis, and presentation.
- Demonstrate measurable improvements to On-time delivery and Inventory turns through contributions to process improvements and development of improved analyses, metrics, and techniques
- Complete or coordinate other related projects and analyses as assigned
- Minimum B.S/B.A. degree required.
- 3 years experience in Scheduling, Purchasing, or Materials Management preferred.
- APICS CPIM Certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of materials planning computer systems required (BPCS or M3 preferred).
- Experience/familiarity with programming languages such as Python and R that can be leveraged for predictive inventory analytics.
- Must be responsible, reliable, and self-motivated. Drive to improve all processes and performance is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in Process Improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
- Strong analytical problem solving ability required.
- Good oral and written communication skills required with attention to details critical.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management required.
- Evening and weekend communication with overseas team members occasionally required.
- Travel up to 10%.
