Summary/Objective:
This position is responsible for the oversight of warehouse staff and daily activities required to meet customer standards for safety, quality, quantity, efficiency, delivery and operations. Duties may require flexibility with weekly schedule and location. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure work is completed as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Job Functions:
Drive a Safety First Culture
Motivate personnel to achieve and surpass department standards and goals for safety cost, productivity and efficiency, to include method changes and on-time performance.
Ensure proper warehousing and inventory control procedures are communicated and followed.
Train employees in and maintain procedures and guidelines for ISO.
Build strategic working relationships with partners outside of distribution to promote mutual team benefits.
Communicate regularly with warehouse teams regarding business strategies.
Identify, analyze and resolve issues affecting warehouse and employee performance.
Propose and execute improvements to business processes and equipment as necessary.
Ensure a safe working environment by executing and supporting safety initiatives and related training.
Effectively allocate personnel resources to provide a balanced support to all warehouse functions.
Monitor and plan maintenance for all warehouse equipment including forklifts and yard tractors/trailers.
Supervise warehouse activities to provide quality service to internal/external customers.
Develop a working proficiency with all applicable warehouse and company systems, SAP inventory management, production support, shipping, timekeeping, cycle-counting and safety and ISO procedures.
Embrace safety as an absolute standard to ensure compliance with all safety rules. Leads employees in proper safety procedures, taking an active role in safety programs and meetings.
Develop a thorough understanding of warehouse processes and practices, as well as an understanding of how these functions interact with and impact other areas of the Company.
Assist with the coordination and assigning of the daily and weekly work schedules. Collaborate with team members to reach an optimum level of efficiency. Includes on the floor workflow evaluations and workload adjustments.
Communicate effectively, concisely and constructively, both verbally and in writing. Must be timely and accurate with distribution of information.
Take an active role in the initial and ongoing employee training processes to ensure process consistency. Assist with training employees in proper warehouse procedures (ISO, safety, forklift operation, product location and rotation procedures, housekeeping standards) to ensure a safe, quality and efficient operation.
Participate in daily meetings with team, Foreman and Manager. (visibility board, workload status, scheduling). Willing to provide feedback, observations and suggestions regarding staffing and training.
Support departmental projects and initiatives.
Track and input daily metrics.
Coach employees to reach daily, monthly and quarterly departmental goals. Proactively seek and report gaps to management.

Qualifications:
Associates degree in Business, Logistics or related field and 3+ years of logistics/warehousing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess strong leadership and teambuilding skills.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, & problem-solving skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external parties.
Experience utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF technology a plus. Strong computer skills with Microsoft and SAP experience preferred.
Experience working in lean manufacturing and/or lean warehousing environment.
Must possess or be able to become licensed for lift truck operation.
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s values

Operations and ProductionThe salary range for this role is:
$74,800.00 - $112,200.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
