Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Service Center (PSC), this position is responsible for supervising the PSC Telehealth staff, the Message Management Team, the overall efficiency of the MyAltaMed patient message and EPIC In-Basket message as well as the overall efficiency of the PSC telehealth workflow. This position will also analyze telehealth utilization informatics reports related to telehealth visits, inform decision support help manage telehealth strategy outcomes and serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on clinical telehealth applications, workflows, and as the coordinator between back office and other ancillary providers and IT experts.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the development and configuration of clinical applications with telehealth solutions and provide guidance to patient care and nursing teams in workflow integration solutions.
  • Responsible for the development of strategies around quality improvement and reporting for MyAltaMed patient messages and patient experience outcomes.
  • Develop strategies around quality improvement and reporting for telehealth visits and outcomes, including data collection and analysis of patient satisfaction surveys following the patient visit.
  • Collaborate closely with – and communicate between – clinical applications team and the clinical community to provide leadership for clinical systems projects and
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of metrics and manage workflow and business process changes to ensure the success and optimization of new or modified clinical information
  • Lead in the development and preparation of new EHR workflows as well as develop and implement auditing and review processes to ensure project goals and objectives are
  • The Telehealth NI will play a key role in increasing patient telehealth enrollment and video HOW DOES THIS FIT?
  • In collaboration with Information Systems (IS), support the development of healthcare technology systems by customizing EHR templates for best use within their particular nursing healthcare
  • Liaise between nursing, providers, and information technology (IT) personnel to ensure consistency of System support.
  • Partner with Quality and Nursing leadership to help identify the clinical data requirements of the patients across the Healthcare System, as it relates to Quality and Safety. Help coordinate the advancement of clinical information systems to satisfy these data
    • Advocate for patients' needs and rights pertaining to the Healthcare System's clinical information systems, including issues of confidentiality of medical
    • Participates on AltaMed committees as assigned as a resource for identifying integration points between best practice and current clinical practice, clinical documentation, and
    • Applies information technology to facilitate the adoption of best practice and clinical guidelines into nursing
  • Lead the assessment of needs and EHR implementation including nursing practice guidelines to nursing practice-based electronic medical records systems.
  • In collaboration with Nursing leadership, assists in identifying the needs of nursing staff in the areas of education, training programs, and services in the area of computer skills and competencies in the use of electronic tools for patient care, quality management, utilization management, clinical resource management, and performance improvement
  • Assists in the evaluation and assessment of health care technology to address clinical needs of patients and to support the nursing staff
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Master’s degree in nursing, health services, business administration or management preferred.
  • Current valid license as a Registered Nurse through the California Board of Registered Nursing required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in clinical care management working in an outpatient setting, or Acute Care Hospital Setting with experience in staff supervision.
  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
  • Prior experience with an Electronic Health/Medical system (EHR/EMR); Experience in using EPIC system, highly desired.
  • Preferred experience and familiarity with telehealth, its workflows and the technologies involved.
  • Experience with project implementation and ability to analyze data.
  • Prior supervisory and training experience preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
Min: USD $39.05/Hr. Max: USD $60.52/Hr.
