Job description
The Supervisor on Duty will assume supervisor duty responsibilities for the site during the 3rd shift, with availability between 10pm – 8am. Coordinates activities of treatment program by planning, implementing, and coordinating central activities. Conducts group meetings and documents group process. Responsible for de-escalating angry youth, physically guiding youth needing assistance and physically restraining youth who may be aggressive towards themselves or others.
Requirements:
- Supervises and evaluates students at assigned times for assigned activities as outlined in supporting documents.
- May be required to transport youth.
- May be responsible for the administration of medications as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Responsible for teaching, modeling, practicing, supporting, and articulating the Agency's treatment philosophy and/or others that may be required contractually.
- Responds in a relevant physical manner to an explosive incident in a group situation which may include the use of physical intervention. This may require twisting, kneeling, bending, crouching, grabbing, holding, reaching, stretching, climbing, turning, crawling, and quick movement.
- Submits necessary paperwork.
- Informs treatment team members of group issues/problems to facilitate treatment.
- Provides information for Program Evaluation Department. Maintains licenses and contractual obligations.
- Maintains proper staff ratio.
- Maintains and/or establishes relationships with other agencies and organizations in community toward meeting community and Agency needs and services.
- Continues professional development through professional literature and participation in various conferences, seminars and professional organizations.
- Performs other duties related to the essential duties of the position and within the individual's capabilities as assigned by one's supervisor.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience in a child caring institution.

Two years of college from an accredited college or university and 3 years of work experience in a child caring institution.

A high school diploma and 4 years of work experience in a child caring institution
