Job description

You.

You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a Supervisor of Application Services.

You’re generous with your thoughts, your partnerships and especially your voice, because your opinion matters.

You’re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.

Us.

System Services is our Corporate Headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado and is located within the Oracle campus. SCL Health is a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to improving the well-being of the people we serve.

Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, we’ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.

We.

Together we’ll align mission and careers, values and workplace. We’ll encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.

We’ll laugh at each other’s jokes (even the bad ones). We’ll hello and high five. We’ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.

We’re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.

Your day.

As a Supervisor of Application Services, you need to know how to:

  • Analyze and document user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. Review system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Document workflows, configure and/or build activities, change management adherence, end user notifications, training information and status reporting in the appropriate system. Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
  • Expand or modify the system to serve new purposes or improve workflow. Recommend workflow and application changes for improved quality, safety or efficiency and work through the necessary governance structure for approvals. Coordinate and link the application within an organization to increase compatibility for information sharing. Review and analyze the system and performance indicators to locate problems, and correct errors.
  • Manage medium to large and complex application projects. Be responsible for managing completion of work, meeting deadlines, and providing deliverables to the customer. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, schedule and facilitate meetings as necessary to complete assignments.
  • Mentor Application Analysts to improve their skills and prepare them for more responsibility. Assign and monitor progress for the team’s tasks and projects. Set team work priorities. Serve as backup to manager/director. Participate and facilitate high-level meetings which translate Epic technical expertise to meet organization needs and objectives. Correlate corporate strategic initiatives to department initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical expert in the assigned applications for users, other STSC team members, vendors and management. Serve as the subject matter expert in the assigned applications for system design and workflow modifications. Serve as a direct contact for your reports to assist the Manager with the department's strategic goals.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare, technology or related field
  • Current Epic certification for the area in which you support or the ability to obtain within nine (9) months of hire (obtaining additional proficiency or certification related to assigned modules may be required based on the department’s operational need and at manager discretion)

Preferred:

  • Previous work experience as a high level/super user

Your next move.

Now that you know more about being a Supervisor of Application Services on our team we hope you’ll join us. At SCL Health you’ll reaffirm every day how much you love this work, and why you were called to it in the first place.
