Starting Compensation: $17.71 - $22.25 per hour

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Food Services Supervisor to lead our Food Services department. The Food Services Supervisor will oversee the functions of the delivery of food services across the organization. Make sure that all functions of the kitchens are properly run according to the codes set forth by the Ohio Department of Health, Franklin County Public Health, National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and all other applicable regulatory bodies.

Schedule: Full-time, Non-exempt (Schedule varies)

Location: Grove City, OH (Requires In Person Work)

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise the Cook, Cook Assistant, and Cook’s Aide
  • Provide coverage, personally, or schedules relief staff for absent departmental personnel to ensure meals are provided.
  • Open kitchen for preparation of meals daily and ensure food is prepared for weekends.
  • Promote an ongoing culture of employee recognition and teamwork.
  • Prepare the correct amount of food while minimizing food waste for each meal.
  • Look for, and suggest, ways to improve and promote the quality of meals served.
  • Track food inventory and report shortages to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for food quantity, ordering, and inventory.
  • Verify accuracy of shipped products from vendors.
  • Maintain departmental expenditures within budgetary guidelines.
  • Meal preparation and serving 150 people per meal.

Who you are:

  • You have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • You have at least two years of food service experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • You have a serve-save certification.
  • You have an active driver’s license.
  • You have proven computer skills.
