Built-in 1973 Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento is committed to providing daily excellence in health care for residents of Sacramento’s southern suburbs including the Elk Grove Wilton and Galt communities. Methodist Hospital is home to a 158 acute-care bed facility with 1120 employees 283 medical staff and 29 Emergency Department beds. Methodist Hospital also owns and operates Bruceville Terrace – a 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing long-term care facility adjacent to the hospital that provides care for the elderly as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Methodist Hospital is home to the Family Medicine Residency Program an accredited and nationally recognized program which provides resident physicians with specialty training in primary care family medicine. Together the hospital and residency program implemented a ground-breaking curriculum addressing the identification treatment and assistance of human trafficking victims and created a one-of-a-kind health clinic for victims the Human Trafficking Medical Home.

Job Summary:
Provides tactical leadership in order to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems and financial performance, engages staff and cultivates a clinic culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care. Coordinates the day-to-day operational aspects of the clinic. Works closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and clinic goals are met.

Job Summary:

Coordinates the day-to-day operational aspects of the clinic. Works closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and clinic goals are met.
- Job Responsibility 1 Participates in work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing improvement in clinic operations. Provides value-added and productive input and expertise to drive continual improvement, support standardization and streamlining and to resolve ongoing patient care issues.
- Job Responsibility 2 Supports the established processes and systems to enhance customer service by providing coaching to staff and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, providers and visitors, and operates clinic in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements impacting areas of responsibilities.
- Job Responsibility 3 Assists in determining the workload priorities to enable timely completion of tasks while monitoring work performance and supporting with training and coaching as necessary.
- Job Responsibility 4 Assists in managing the revenue cycle and supports the management of supply costs, tracks inventory usage, using purchasing information management systems, including maintaining staffing levels that adhere to labor standards and effectively controlling staff premium pay.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in related field.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Special Skills:
- Working knowledge of community clinic/health center operations.
Preferred:
Two (2) years of experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant- Certification must be obtained through one of the private agencies approved by the Medical Board of California:
American Association of Medical Assistants (preferred), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA), Multi-skilled Medical Certification Institute Inc. (NCCT).
- Previous experience in a Family Practice Residency Clinic.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience in a union environment.
- Medical terminology familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures and reference tools and pharmacology appropriate to the Medical Assistant scope of practice required
- Bachelor's degree in business finance or healthcare administration or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. MA LVN or RN.
