SUNBURST: Summers Ultimate Network Bodaciously Uniting Resourceful Students Together, is an opportunity for Nausets 4th-6th Graders to engage in hands-on, real-world, application based learning after school at Nauset Regional Middle School.Students from Eddy Elementary School, Orleans Elementary School, Eastham Elementary School, Wellfleet Elementary School, and Nauset Regional Middle School are eligible.The Sunburst STEAM Coordinator is responsible for effective implementation of the Nausets high quality Sunburst after school and summer programming and works collaboratively with Sunbursts Instructional Coach. The Sunburst STEAM Coordinator works to expand capacity to deepen relationships with staff, students, families, and the greater community to advance DEI strategies, deep learning, and foster a culture of care and belonging for all. This includes developing creative and innovative programming that helps students develop and demonstrate new skills; creating programming that contributes to students social and emotionalcompetencies; establishing a system of effective management and oversight of program implementation; making data-informed decisions that address student need and leads to continuous program improvement; engaging families in meaningful ways to better support student learning and development; enhancing staff skills through professional development opportunities; and creating a welcoming environment where staff-youth interactions are positive and respectful, staff are supportive of one another, and youth are kind and cooperative with one another.Collaborating with District Grant Manager in managing grant funds and budgetsDeveloping specific goals and objectives each school year to meet the needs ofstudents being served Designing student outreach plans to attract and retain students with greatest needs to programsSetting program expectations annually across the district including program planning, design, and implementationMaintaining regular communication with program coaches regarding programming requirementsCompiling and analyzing various sources of data, using data for programimplementation, determining professional development, student outreach and more.Developing and implementing strategies for continuous program improvementIncorporating DESE initiatives into district programming as required Hiring, supervising, and evaluating appropriate staff for program sites and addressing all personnel issues as they arisePreparing and submitting payroll on a weekly basisProviding staff with technical assistance as necessaryPreparing and conducting professional development for staffConducting High Quality Instruction Observations at program sites on an on-going basisDeveloping new curriculum units annually based on needs of students and directives set forth by DESEMonitoring student academic progress throughout the year and create interventionplans when necessaryMaintaining open communication with families by addressing issues as they ariseand problem-solving concernsInitiating and maintaining open communication with district and school-basedadministrationCultivating community partnerships to supplement and strengthen programmingCollaborating with the Sunburst STEAM Community Outreach Liaison to facilitatecommunity outreach, family engagement, and a culture of belongingParticipating in community events as necessaryUpdating Sunbursts website regularlyMaintaining Sunbursts administrative end - answering all inquiries, conductingregistrations for each program session, etc.Fostering positive relationship with DESE and submit all required materials in a timely fashionSchool Year: Monday-Thursday, 1pm-6pmSummer: Monday- Thursday, 7am-1pmPosition is fully grant-fundedIndividual administrative contract with salary and benefits
