Summer Micro Activities Counselor - $18 Minimum
Job description
Micro Activities Counselors are responsible for creating, organizing, and implementing recreational activities throughout the week, with a specific focus on our 5-10 years old campers. Activities Counselors will run scheduled weekly activities and events and coordinate the appropriate staff to run and monitor each activity and event. They will coordinate with activities Lead to schedule and run activities on their behalf.Must be lifeguard certified and oversee aquatics program.

- Organize and run all recreational activities, daily contests and events
- Promote, coordinate, and run special events (e.g., Go Skateboarding Day, the 4th of July, etc.)
- Maintain inventory of all activities supplies / keep track of all prizes and ensure proper awarding
- Lead and participate in recreation activities with enthusiasm and encourage campers to do the same
- Maintain clean activity spaces and perform necessary maintenance on all activity equipment
- Assist with content collection (photography and video)
- Outgoing demeanor and willingness to act as an ambassador for Action Sports as well as a role model for children and teens
- Experience working with younger children required
- Summer camp experience required
- Current CPR and first aid certification preferred
- Lifeguard certification preferred
- Experience creating arts and crafts
- Action sports experience preferred
