Subsurface Utility Engineer (SUE) Field Technician

We have multiple openings on our regional and national SUE teams for supporting field technicians to assist with the collection of utility asset data for our clients.

General Responsibilities Include:

Field work including opening sewer manholes, lifting heavy equipment, lots of walking through varied terrain, and utilization of data collectors and tablets to collect asset information.

Frequent regional and/or national travel.

Support the project manager and team leader in meeting schedule and budget.

·Responsible for ongoing communication and timely identification of issues to the PM and pending or actual changes to the work performed and may impact costs, schedule, contract, or customer relationship.

Additional duties as assigned.

· Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Courses and/or experience in drafting, GIS, utility location, utility construction or a related field are desired but are not required.

Must be able to work safely and adhere to all safety protocols.

Willingness to work outdoors on project sites and ability to work in the extreme heat or cold.

Reasoning Skills ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; ability to solve practical problems quickly and efficiently.

Must be able to crawl, climb, stand and lift up to 75 lbs. in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to obtain security clearance and US passport.

Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.

Able to travel out of the state and country for periods of time.

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
