Position Open Until FilledUnder general supervision, the Student Recruitment Specialist is responsible for organizing and implementing recruiting and marketing activities for the general student population. The Student Recruitment Specialist works with the general public and identified under-served populations, assisting prospective learners in their connection to the College, navigation of the admissions process, and introduction to the enrollment steps. Reports to the Director for the Office of Recruitment and First-Year Experience.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist with the development and implementation of recruitment and marketing plans with the purpose of promoting PCC's visibility and general recruitment efforts. Develops a strategic recruitment and enrollment plan for the area Latinx population. Works with the recruitment team to coordinate assigned activities. Develops a schedule of on and off-campus recruitment events, including high school visits, workshops, college fairs, and community events within the service area. Communicates regularly with prospective students, parents, and the community through an array of communication methods and recruitment strategies to raise awareness of the opportunities at the College and effectively move students through the enrollment funnel. Assist with the planning, design and implementation of a marketing plan for student enrollment in coordination with PCC Marketing Department. Develop and assess various recruitment strategies that include but are not limited to print and electronic media, high school visits, social media, mailings and special events. Supports prospective students with the completion of the admissions applications, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and other enrollment related paperwork and/or processes. Develop targeted marketing and recruitment strategies for unemployed, underemployed and employed adult populations. Collaborate with the Marketing Department to engage prospective students via social media. Consult, collaborate and assist academic programs in establishing and achieving enrollment goals. Assist with scheduling and conducting campus tours. Utilize software tools to track and perform analysis on recruitment efforts. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. Two (2) or more years of previous experience in higher education that includes student recruitment/ admissions, individual and group counseling, and academic support services preferred. Excellent counseling advising and career assessment skills required, research/analytical and strong presentation/ organization skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and to speak effectively with small and large groups required. Must display an energetic approach to customer service. Must possess strong written, oral communication, and social media skills. Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) required.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including a computer, telephone, basic office equipment, vehicle, etc. Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting much of the time, but involves walking and standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, etc. for periods of time. Must be able to lift and /or carry weights of up to 50 pounds. Data Conception: Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable functional, structural or compositional characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things. Interpersonal Communications: Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving assignments and/or directions to volunteers and receiving assignments and/or directions from supervisor. Language Ability: Requires ability to read a variety of policy and procedure manuals, regulations, reports, etc. Requires the ability to prepare reports, schedules, correspondence, etc. with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech. Requires the ability to speak with and before others with poise, voice control and confidence. Intelligence: Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form; to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Requires the ability to make independent judgments in absence or supervision; to acquire knowledge of topics related to primary occupation. Must have the ability to comprehend and interpret received information and to understand and implement basic office machinery functions. Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow and give verbal and written instructions, to counsel and teach volunteers and inmates. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of technical and/or professional languages. Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to add and subtract totals, to multiply and divide, to determine percentages and decimals and to determine time. Forms/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width and shape, and visually read various information. Motor Coordinator: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes using office machinery; and to drive motor vehicles. Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, keyboards, office equipment, control knobs, buttons, switches, catches, etc. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. Color Discrimination and Visual Acuity: Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color; requires the visual acuity to determine depth perception, peripheral vision, inspection for small parts; preparing and analyzing written or computer data, etc.Interpersonal Temperament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency, unusual or dangerous situations. The worker may be subject to danger or risk to a slight degree. Physical Communications: Requires the ability to talk and/or hear: (talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words; hearing: perceiving nature of sounds by ear).
