Utah Valley University is seeking an event staff concessions employee! Concessions Student Team Members must be prepared to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Joining the Event Center team at UVU means exposing yourself to some of the best concerts, shows, athletics, expos, and parties in Utah Valley.
As a Student Concession Team Member of Utah County’s premier event center, you join us in:
- Ensuring a positive, safe experience for our hundreds of thousands of patrons annually.
- Contribute to the successful execution of events by ensuring that quality, consistency, and safety of all food and beverage services are in compliance with campus, state, and industry protocols.
- Take orders.
- Run registers and payment systems
- Prepare and cook food and beverage items.
- Clean and sanitize ,and assist with inventory.
- Making lasting positive relationships, and other duties as assigned are all crucial daily activities.
- Must be a current UVU student
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of food service safety and procedures
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- Knowledge of cash handling
- Problem solving skills.
- Interpersonal verbal communication and decision making skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
- Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to be attentive to, aware of, and available to assist patrons.
- Ability to lift heavy items such as: cases of water, soda, stanchions, etc
