Our Structure organization supporting Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking experienced to senior level Structural Analysis Engineers with knowledge of design theory, engineering principles, and coordination skills.

This position while posted and hired in the USA (Seal Beach-CA) will be based in New Delhi -India on 3-5 years assignment as part of a new Global Support Center located in that city and will be providing added support to other Global Support Centers in SE Asia and China. Assignment benefits will be provided based on Boeing’s international relocation and assignment policies

Position Responsibilities

Complete knowledge of relevant laws and regulations on aircraft structures issued by both FAA, EASA, DGCA and ability to communicate any Regulatory body ruling affecting Aircraft Structure. Participate in any projects collaborating with DGCA to ensure the safety of Boeing fleet in full collaboration with Internal Boeing Structures and engineering organizations.

Complete knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g. fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques and nondestructive test, etc.).

Complete instructional skills (e.g. preparation, delivery, summary, assess student progress, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.)

Deliver workshops and seminars to our customers in India (based on expertise, could be Structure Repair Manual, Boeing Drawings, Aging Airplane Safety Rules, Structural Repair Design Principals, fatigue and corrosion, and stress analysis, etc.)

Develop presentation material in area of expertise as requested by the customers in India based on the knowledge of aircraft structure, structure repair principles, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes

Address and provide technical support to special projects and structural problems affecting aircraft operation, evaluating customer data in India to improve efficiency or reliability, and supporting Entry into Service programs as required and as needed

Provide support to Boeing Products upon request from internal Boeing organizations; for example Toolbox structure module, etc.

Support customers in technical review meetings and other engineering events as needed or requested by Internal Stake holders, including the ability to build and maintain close relationship with customers and coordinate with various stakeholders and with internal Boeing teams in India.

Able to hold conversations with Indian Airline management and high level Civil Aviation Authorities personnel and address questions and concerns in a confident manner.

Self-learning to improve training capability and expand professional knowledge.

Knowledge and Competency Required:
Wide range of knowledge in aviation, aviation industry, and Boeing products/services in India;

Complete knowledge of airlines maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g. return to service, maintenance and engineering procedures) in order to effectively deliver technical services.

The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in New Delhi, India

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Minimum 5 years engineering experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

At least 10 years airline experience or equivalent.

The position may require around 25-50% of time for business travel, sometimes at short notice.

Guide the successful completion of activities such as the aging airplane seminar and other country-wide projects.

Lead the development of courseware, such as the Boeing drawing course, or updating material in existing courses.

Liaison:
Participate as prime consultant in the technical meetings, workshops and seminars to the Indian customers and DGCA.

Represents the GSC organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.

Interacts with senior external stakeholders on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Interacts frequently with inter-organizational and external stakeholders.

Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects in coordination with Boeing Engineering teams and organizations

Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-level (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 5)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience,

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Standard Flex 3-5 years.
