Strategy Portfolio Manager
Job description

- Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm including senior executive level leaders
- Solution oriented problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong technical and business process acumen and demonstrate the ability to liaison across functions
- Technology enthusiast with a desire to learn the newest technologies (specific technical certifications required)
Role Requirements and Expectations
- Agility
- Manage, perform and deliver data analysis of agility metrics and methodologies to support proactive metric tracking and accountability. Identify opportunity for improvements, develop a strategy and achieve agile and product goals.
- Program & Portfolio Management
- Identify new practices and processes to enhance operations (e.g., dashboards, automation strategies, etc.).
- Define and drive adoption of non-functional standards and blueprints related to supportability - permit to operate, resiliency patterns, capacity management, observability, etc.
- Identify blockers and pain points and drive solutions by partnering with and influencing infrastructure, architecture and application development teams.
- Recruit, develop and manage technical program management team
- Product Management - Technical & Functional Teams Coordination
- Partner with cross line of business with Product, Finance, Tech Partners, service providers to ensure accurate, consistent Tech strategy/reporting and CCB-wide best practices
Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on experience transforming a traditional technical operations model into a proactive agile-driven organization.
- Persuasive communication skills, including technical writing (and ability to communicate clearly and at the right level of detail)
- Ability to influence across teams, drive change and gain consensus in challenging situations
- Experience defining and driving strategic change initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal, relationship and negotiating skills
- Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and tools across complex, multi-source datasets
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Project Management, Business Management/Operations or Scrum Master experience involving complex business, operations, and technology delivery.
- Strong knowledge and experience across multiple technology platforms, including on premise and private and public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Executive presence and a thought leader able to influence and advocate for their views/ideas.
- Prior experience in financial services industry preferred including LOB, business process and procedures knowledge.
- Demonstrated strong ability to analyze problems, quantitative analytics against large data sets
- Communicate effectively and confidently (both verbal and written).
- Demonstrated influencing and relationship management skills to work in cross-functional teams.
- Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers; eagerness to work in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly dynamic environment.
- Must have excellent and efficient skills using Microsoft tools; esp. MS Excel and PowerPoint, Jira and Tableau preferred.
