POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for engaging with customers, maintaining a well-organized store and providing excellent customer service while adhering to all organizational core values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for sorting donations once received at the store to determine quality
• Responsible for prepping items for prior to display on showroom floor and staging items on the floor as directed
• Ability to provide the highest level of customer service to donors and customers
• Professionally and politely address customer inquiries/complaints
• Ensure the movement on merchandise is done in a safe and effective manner
• Keeps all areas, in and around the store, clear and free of safety hazards
• Asks for assistance from fellow team members to move or transport larger or heavier-than-average items
• Actively encourages donations to the store
• Participates in meetings, trainings as required
• Assists with stocking and rotating merchandise
• Uses and follows the policies/procedures of Mid Florida Community Services, Inc., including but not limited to Personnel Policies, Occupational Health and Safety policies, payroll policies/practices, etc.

Requirements
JOB STANDARDS:
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: One year experience in retail or related field.
Licenses & Certifications: Subject to federal, state and local legal requirements/background checks/clearance for working with vulnerable populations.

CRITICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, & EXPERTISE:
Physical Requirements: Use of arms, hands, and fingers are constant. Good eyesight (with corrective device) and good hearing (with corrective device) are essential. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Light (up to 50 lbs.) lifting, stretching/reaching, grasping, and kneeling are occasional.
Equipment: Personal computer, telephone, copy machine facsimile, other related office equipment, and a vehicle.
Skills & Expertise: Skill in completing work with a high degree of accuracy. Skill in paying attention to details.Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to establish effective working relationships with people. Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.Ability to write clearly and concisely; Customer-service skills; Attention to detail; ability to perform simple calculations

Job Location: Based out of Hernando County
Work Environment: Constantly works in an retail environment and works closely with others on a regular basis. While performing the responsibilities of the position, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the employee will encounter. Retail environment and working with others frequently. Working with retail equipment is frequent.
