Job description

Welsh Stone Supply, the premier natural stone supplier for all hardscape and masonry needs, is currently seeking a Stone Fabricator/Yard Worker who will be expected to assist in the stone yard with duties associated to the Yard Worker position. This is considered a safety-sensitive position. This position is hourly, with regular overtime. Overtime is paid after 40 hours weekly. Average hours of work will vary between 45-50 per week, contingent on seasonal demand.

Responsibilities

Yard responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to –

· Safely operate a forklift

· Work directly with customers while providing excellent customer service

· Accurately utilize a tape measure

· Correctly and safely load customer orders

· Unload and sort incoming inventory

· Accurately compile products for delivery

· Assist with yard maintenance & cleaning

· Lift up to 80 lbs unassisted

Stone fabrication responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to –

· Use measuring instruments to ensure exact specifications of orders

· Complete all fabrication jobs efficiently and precisely

· Achieve quality of conformance

· Drill holes and cut profiles according to specifications

· Shape, trim or touch up roughed-out materials

· Utilize hand tools and power tools

· Load materials into production equipment

· Maintain a clean, safe, workable environment

· Lift up to 80 lbs unassisted

· Safely operate a forklift

Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes

· Fundamental knowledge of and experience in stone fabrication, or willing to learn

· Math and measuring skills required

· Must be pro-active, able to work well independently and with others

· Able to complete projects as assigned

· Ability to prioritize workload

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

· This is a full-time position, 1st shift hours, with regular overtime

· Must be available for Saturday AM rotation (approximately every 6 to 8 weeks) as needed

Pay: $42,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
