Staffing Coordinator- we’re willing to train, come join our team!
Position Summary:
The Staffing Coordinator has responsibility in areas that support daily operations: receive and accurately record staffing and schedule changes, participate in daily staffing in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor and Unit Nursing leaders to ensure that the nursing units are optimally staffed based on census and acuity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of clerical experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
- Ability to multi-task and plan ahead for unexpected staffing shortages
- Ability to work independently with limited resources
- Highly detailed oriented with strong time management skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of management and employees
- active CNA license preferred
Responsibilities:
- Creates schedules to be copied, distributed, and revised
- Coordinates daily staffing of departments including replacement of personnel due to earned time off, leave of absence, personal time off, etc
- Determines whether time off can be granted depending upon ability to replace and department guidelines
- Must be able to schedule facility staff at levels determined by DON
- Must be able to prepare and maintain records of all shift schedules and communicate clearly to staff
- Calculates the daily staffing needs based on census and acuity and ensures the facility meets the daily projection needs
