Quality Assurance Sr. Staff Engineer

Quality Assurance & Reliability Engineer (Automotive Product Support)
Renesas Electronics America, Inc. is looking for a Quality Assurance & Reliability Engineer interested in being part of the Quality Assurance team located in Milpitas, California supporting Automotive products and customers. Responsibilities
This engineering position is primarily responsible to manage product qualification (Product Quality Engineering) and secondarily responsible to support multiple customer accounts (Customer Quality Engineering) relating to automotive products.
- Support new automotive products qualification and reliability qualification process
- Create qualification plans meeting of AEC-Q100, AEC-Q006 and customer requirements
- Coordinate qualification activities
- Review qualification results and issue qualification reports.
- Work with a team to analyze qualification failures and customer returns to determine root cause and appropriate countermeasures to drive for the improvement of product quality.
- Support Internal, External (IATF16949), and Customer audits
Requirements
Prefer a minimum 8 years + BSEE or 6 Years + MSEE experience as Customer Quality Assurance Engineer supporting automotive customers:
- Support automotive products qualification and reliability testing
- AEC-Q100 and AEC-Q006 qualification understanding
- Good knowledge of Semiconductor Physics, analog/CMOS logic design and layout, MOSFET structure, Microcontroller Architecture, semiconductor reliability test skill and semiconductor manufacturing processes
- 8D Problem Solving report
- IATF16949 certification requirements
- Experience working with Automotive customer is desired.
- Available to support domestic & international business travel, though limited
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills including time management
- Work independently and with other teams
- Proficient in MS Office
Additional Information
- $146,400 - $219,600 annualized salary range (Note: Disclosure as required by SB 1162 (9-27-22) for California)

- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
