Position Summary:

Houston Baptist University seeks Staff Pianists to join the Department of Music with expertise in teaching applied piano lessons.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach applied piano lessons to both music majors and minors.
• Other duties may include teaching additional classes as needed.
• Accompany a choral ensemble, and lead sectionals.
• Have flexible work schedule to accommodate various lesson times throughout the week.
• Be available periodically on Mondays and Fridays from 11 am - 12 pm for Music Forums and Music Masterclasses.

Qualifications:

• MM or DMA in piano performance or collaborative piano
• Ability to teach courses in music from a Christian worldview and demonstrate enthusiasm for our classical liberal arts core curriculum which includes embracing the need for these courses to complement each other.
