Job description
We are a state-wide, mid-sized firm with many practice areas and are looking for an associate attorney that will practice in the Community Association department with a focus on post-judgment collections. As an Staff Attorney, this position requires an understanding of the judicial and non-judicial foreclosure process, performing legal research, fact investigation, preparation of legal documents, and supervising post-judgment paralegals through the foreclosure process. Under general supervision, individual researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, case law and legal articles to oversee and review the preparation of legal documents, such as demand letters, opinions, foreclosure notices, petitions and motions. Also, this individual will be required to communicate with homeowner association clients regarding foreclosure issues, attend board meetings (including after hour meetings) if necessary, attend judicial foreclosure sales, attend and conduct non-judicial foreclosure sales, and attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials. This position presents opportunities for growth and experience. This position will report directly to (and be mentored by) a partner who concentrates his practice in this area.

- Oversee/review pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. relating to the firm’s clients in both deed restriction enforcement and collection litigation, counseling and transactional matters as assigned;
- Oversee and manage high volume pre-litigation and litigation docket;
- Client interaction/development.
- Help coordinate workflow and supervise paralegals.
- As needed, work with Shareholders and/or Associate attorneys and staff in other firm offices.
Staff Attorney Qualifications:
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Successful completion of the bar exam
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
- Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys

- This is an indoor office environment and may require sitting and utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
- May be required to move items up to 20 pounds.
