JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The Staff Architect is responsible for the overall end-to-end technical design of project solutions ensuring that designs align with the enterprise and domain strategic vision, principles, standards, and blueprints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for project technical design specifications in alignment with software principles, standards, guidelines, blueprints, existing frameworks, and components.
- Identify and document high-level scope components to support overall solution including team delivery ownership
- Performs, as needed: code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security; gathering of technical requirements; gathering of additional business requirements; coding; performance testing; quality testing; and test automation.
- Provides PoC’s when necessary: to identify and mitigate areas of technical risk; to provide contrast and analysis of differing technical approaches.
- Responsible for alignment with the architecture of other product areas.
- Coaches and provides guidance to implementation teams in support of project designs, initial sizing, and delivery.
- Uses platform level services as possible.
- Research, document, and propose technical improvements and innovations for products. Monitors and assists in the development of team processes and methodologies.
- Drives the software SLA and Failure Mode Analysis exercise, ensuring that impactful issues are addressed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Work Experience:
- 10+ years’ hands-on development experience in a B2B/B2C solutions
- 3 years’ experience as a Team Lead, working with multiple partners, including Product Owners, Lines of Business, and Technology organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree desired, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Advanced level use of software development practices, including frameworks specific to domain. Examples of these include Java, Spring, Hibernate, a JavaScript framework, and extensive knowledge of databases including stored procedures, debugging, and tuning.

- Oracle
- Kubernetes
- Agile Methodology
- CI/CD Practices
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of Java 8+, Spring MVC, Kubernetes, Agile Training, and CICD.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering clear and concise documentation and specifications.
- Willingness to mentor junior developers.
- The ability to adapt to a fast paced, constantly evolving, business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)
- Minimal travel required.
- When required, work in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting.
- On-call as needed to assist the team with technical expertise and guidance.
