What does a Mark-Taylor Staff Accountant look like? You have strong attention to detail with unapparelled time management skills. You love numbers and have often been praised for your strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills. You take ownership of your projects, working independently with minimal supervision. The Work You Do:

You are essentially the "CFO" of each property in your portfolio. This is a hybrid work from home and office position and you will work closely with a strong team of Managers of Community Operations and Managing Directors of Multifamily Investments, to produce accurate, and insightful information for our investors and owners. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and maintain all aspects of accounting including:

• Preparation of monthly financial operating statements
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Cash management and monthly bank reconciliations
• Cash flow analysis/client distributions
• Draw preparation and reviewing of budgets for lease up properties
• Preparation of monthly sales tax returns
• Month end close – auditing property transactions actual to budget, coordinating with community operations regarding all on site accounting activity
• General ledger and Accounts Payable coding review
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

The Skills You Bring:

• B.S. In Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• Preferred - At least 2 years of property management, or HOA experience working with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and in writing
• Resman, RealPage, MRI, YARDI or other property management software proficiency highly desirable
