Description:

PURPOSE:
Under the direct supervision of the Controller, this position is responsible for assisting with general accounting for the organization along with several smaller affiliate organizations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CFO & Controller with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing including construction Job costing.
  • Balance sheet accounts, reconciliations and Schedules, and Bank account reconciliations.
  • Verifies payments associated with Accounts Payable and ensures payments and Rebates are accounted properly.
  • Assists with expense variance analysis, trends and identifying cost savings opportunities.
  • Files Tax forms with Federal (Sales and use Tax), State and local government agencies.
  • Perform Inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist with management of Fixed Assets, and Inventory entry adjustments.
  • Handle accounting and bookkeeping for smaller affiliates in other accounting systems (QuickBooks and JobBOSS2, Cidan).
  • Enter credit cards transactions, Pay bills, print checks and support staff following the stablished procedures.
  • Create invoices and perform revenue reconciliation.
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned by the CFO or Controller.

KEY RESULTS:

  • Meet key deadlines for generation of financial statements and federal, state filings.
  • Maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (General financial accounting and cost accounting)
  • Strong technical accounting background. At least five years general ledger accounting experience is required.
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Sage-Intacct a plus.
  • Strong Excel and database skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & Strong organizational skill.
  • Team player and have ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
