The Role

AXS is looking for motivated experienced Sr. QA Engineer to be a part of a team with a mission to build, innovate and maintain technology for our B2B and B2C products. The Sr. Software QA Engineer supports development on critical projects. Drive the creation and execution of test strategy, test plans, test cases as well as utilize automated tools to optimize the SDLC. The person in this role understands test methodology and best practices for software quality assurance and can execute in both Agile and Waterfall models.


What You Will Do

  • Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
  • Measure, interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
  • Perform exploratory testing, automate repetitive tasks and work side by side with software development engineers to deliver high quality product to our customers.
  • distribute Tasks and train offshore resources on any new features
  • Proactively look for continuous improvement opportunities within the test methology and best practices to support software quality
  • Manage changing priorities and maintain readiness to pivot or adjust plans

What you'll bring

  • 4+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer or SDET
  • Demonstrated ability to track issues to completion
  • Experience owning the full test strategy through test completion for major components of a software system
  • Demonstrated experience in the review of software requirements, risk analysis, specification documents and testing procedures
  • Experience in testing and test automation for consumer facing applications and devices
  • Proven expertise of defect management tools.
  • Proven ability to follow company testing standards
  • Demonstrated experience in the review of software requirements, risk analysis, specification documents and testing procedures.
  • Experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle fundamentals.
  • The ability to work successfully within a team
  • The ability to rapidly learn an application, new tools and techniques in order to become quickly productive.
  • Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture
  • An independent thinker who is naturally curious
  • A creative mindset – and an ability to approach a problem creatively
  • Willingness and tendency to ask questions
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills, mainly (but not limited to): spelling, grammar, punctuation, parallel sentence structure, and consistent writing style
  • Knowledge of our market and users is not required, but will need to be learned
