Sales Representative

We’re searching for a sales representative to help grow our business in the market. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of prior sales experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary: The Sales Representative will be responsible for creating a strategic sales program to generate sales within the new market aggressively. The Sales Representative ensures that all financial performance goals are met, including sales and profit. The position requires a solid ability to multi-task in various roles simultaneously, including sales, recruiting & screening, hiring, and maintaining good client relations & customer service. The Sales Representative will be responsible for organizing, growing, maintaining, and managing the overall clientele for the branch. This position will report to Action Group Staffing Senior Sales Manager, NJ Local Branch Managers, and the Director Of Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify new business prospects and generate sales leads.
  • Develop a strategic Sales program to pursue and secure new clients.
  • Develop & create prospect lists and execute a sales strategy to generate new business. This includes cold calls & follow-up calls, giving sales presentations, conducting contract negotiations, and closing the sale.
  • Foster relationships by attending & participating in local networking groups such as the local Chamber of Commerce and other business groups as determined in an agreed-upon sales strategy.
  • Solicit new clients by making telephone sales calls to schedule & conduct field visits with business owners, key managers, senior-level executives, and other decision-makers.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit detailed weekly sales reports outlined by Action Group’s corporate office.
  • · Meet with clients to understand and document their staffing needs and job requirements, including completing new client survey forms and recording any safety issues and equipment requirements.
  • Document and create precise job descriptions to ensure job orders accurately outline & describe the client’s needs, requests, and job criteria.
  • Visit the client’s site of operation to determine the suitability of working conditions.
  • Document any potential safety issues with the client’s site of operation and confirm job descriptions are accurate.
  • Conduct and oversee all aspects of personnel management for the branch’s workforce, including but not limited to recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of temporary employees to be dispatched by the branch while ensuring they meet client’s specific criteria and job qualifications.
  • Perform and oversee all necessary administrative duties to secure & confirm Work Comp Insurance coverage is placed before assignment & dispatch of any temporary employee.
  • Coordinate with internal staff to ensure the company is placing well-matched candidates that fulfill client job orders and maintain ongoing contact with clients and candidates to ensure both receive exceptional customer service.
  • Forecast business on a rolling six-month cycle and manage the GAP between forecast and target.
  • Ensures sales growth through aggressive market strategies and account development. Hit sales targets in both revenue and profitability
  • Address and resolve any customer service issues quickly and efficiently to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 2 years of staffing industry experience.
  • Strong written & oral communications with above-average presentation skills.
  • Skills in business development, sales, and marketing.
  • Strong Sales Process skills with a demonstrated ability in Prospecting, Discovery, and Solution Design
  • Will work in an office setting branch office-for approximately 85% of the time.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, MS Office, especially PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Self-motivated with the ability to deliver on stretch targets
  • Ability to identify and deliver on key business priorities
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with a diverse workforce and broad client base.
  • · Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • · Payrate $65,000- $85,000 base pay
  • · competitive sales commission plan (base pay + commission)
  • · Ability to commute daily to offices: Parsippany, Dover, Paterson
