Attention: ALL JHP Technicians
Are you a Junior Health Physics Technician? Have you been struggling to get the requisite 4,000 hours to become 18.1 or 6,000 hours to become 3.1 SHP? Well, the tides have turned in your favor. BHI has numerous sites that have adopted the new ANSI Standard that requires a minimum of 2,000 hours of commercial nuclear power plant health physics experience combined with a systematic approach to training as provide through the EPRI registry.
These sites would be Constellation Energy's LaSalle, Byron, Quad Cities, Braidwood, Calvert Cliffs, Nine Mile, Ginna & Limerick Stations along with DUKE Energy's McGuire, Brunswick & Catawba Stations as well as NEXTERA's Turkey Point & Seabrook Stations. So, if you believe you have the requisite 2,000 hours of commercial nuclear power health physics experience, and have been through the NISP training program, why work as a Junior Health Physics Technician earning JHP wages when you could take the next step and be considered as a Senior Health Physics Technician earning as much as $10/hour or more per hour than that of a Junior Tech.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent, including chemistry and Mathematics courses and training and or work experience in Radiation Protection
- Ability to pass knowledge exams and performance evaluations administered through the EPRI process for Standardized Task Evaluations as described in the industry standard NISP-RP-12, Training and Qualification of Supplemental RP Technician.
Additional Competencies:
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
