GDIT is currently seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join our team! This position can sit in Herndon, VA office. In this role you will be responsible for the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling proposal content. As a key member of the proposal team, you will support GDIT Capture Managers and Proposal Managers in the planning and solutioning of proposal technical and management content, win themes, and identification of discriminators, benefits, and key features of technical and management solutions on proposals across the entire enterprise.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Serve as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for Technical and Management Sections of proposals ranging in value from $100M to $1B+, to include classified proposals.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and operations staff to collect data required for proposal development, serve as Technical Volume Book Boss or Volume Lead.
• Work with other technical/management writers to harmonize proposal writing across the volume and to ensure one voice in presenting proposal content.
• Write, edit, and revise proposal materials and coordinate with technical and program personnel to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze RFP requirements, and participate in color team reviews.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and work leadership to less experienced Proposals Writers.
• Participate in the continuing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in English, Journalism, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
• 8+ years of federal proposal writing for a government contractor or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience as a Technical/Management Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Technical/Management Writer
• Active Secret (or higher) Security Clearance
