Role Summary

The Sr. Project Engineer has overall accountability for leading cross-functional teams in the design, certification, integration, and delivery of Anuvu’s Airconnect connectivity solution.

The projects managed by the Sr. Project Engineer represent strategic imperatives that have significant impact on the business and have direct visibility to senior management.

In addition, as a member of a growing business, the Sr. Project Engineer will play a significant role in defining and implementing delivery processes to support the rapidly changing technology and business needs of Anuvu and its customers.

Location: Anywhere in the US

Remote Options: This role may be hybrid or remote.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Evaluate project requests from the customer, program management, and commercial team to develop scope, cost, and schedule that meets customer expectations
  • Manage changes to the projects; ensuring a shared understanding and common expectation of deliverables, timing, and cost
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks before they impact projects
  • Manage the design review and approval process for Engineering and Certification artifacts. Validate design to statement of work throughout the project
  • Facilitate external design review process with customers and partners; ensuring alignment with statement of work and project objectives.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, tracking costs, and analyzing/managing variances to plan
  • Manage relationships with the stakeholders (internal and external), including the communication, information sharing, and expectations management
  • Synthesize clear, concise, and actionable program communications that are appropriate for the project team, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements; lead and participate in the improvement projects as appropriate
  • Foster a culture of open/honest communication, transparency, and accountability

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 7 years experience working on commercial aircraft modification, leading medium size installation design and certification projects with moderate complexity within a global multi-disciplined engineering environment
  • Experience delivering STC and OEM linefit solutions to the commercial aviation industry
  • Familiar with equipment installation and maintenance practices for commercial airlines
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to achieve certification within 1 year of employment preferred
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and lead others in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to operate autonomously in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, PowerBI, and other organizational tools as required
